Park at Col de Marmare, where there is a small car park.
(S/E) This pass is a major trail junction. Take the trail that starts uphill to the left of the forest track in a north-north-westerly direction. Continue climbing to reach the edge of the forest in a flat area.
(1) Pass the watering hole and follow the fence. Continue the steeper climb to reach a Y-shaped trail junction.
(2) Continue along the fence, keeping to the left. The slope becomes steeper and leads to the Rocher de Scaramus. Enjoy the panoramic view from here, where you can see the Pic Fourcat opposite.
(3) Begin a very short descent, then start climbing again along the ridge to reach the summit of Pic Fourcat. Enjoy the exceptional view of the Pyrenees from here.
(4) Retrace your steps to return to the Col de Marmare car park (S/E).
