Parking is available in the area reserved specifically for hikers. It is located above the Chartreuse.
(S/E) At the car park exit, descend to the left towards the cross at the crossroads. Go back up the road to the right for about 100 m.
(1) Leave the road and take the dirt track that climbs steeply to the right. Cross a road and continue climbing to the Croix du Sud, the highest point of the walk.
(2) Turn right, still on a dirt track. Cross another road and continue downhill. At the end of the descent, a path appears on the right.
(Alternatively, if you wish, you can descend to the cross located on the road).
(3) Take this path and cross the Bois de la Lauze until you reach the road that leads back to the Chartreuse, turning right. Cross the car park and go down the stairs to take the Route du Moulin on the left.
(4) At the old mill, now a farm, turn right and cross the footbridges. Walk around La Chartreuse, passing the football pitch, the cemetery and the old fish ponds. Go back up to the road and admire the entrance porch (S/E).
