Car park in front of the school.
(S/E) Head back up towards the town hall. Walk past the church and turn left after the church. Climb towards the Col de Pavezin via the Roman road. Walk past the back of the village hall, “La Galoche”. Continue climbing behind a farm and some houses. The path turns left and joins another path, which you take on the right. Reach the Col de Pavezin.
(1) Walk past the inn. Immediately after passing the house with a plaque in honour of Paul de Vivie, turn left onto the dirt track that climbs into the forest. At the first junction, take the path on the left which continues to climb towards “Col de Grenouze”. In a small clearing, there are four possible directions. Take the path on the left which descends onto a small tarmac road.
(2) Follow this road to the right and climb up to a junction. Head straight ahead onto the unpaved path that climbs along the ridge to the summit of the hike. A panoramic view opens up. Cross a copse.
(3) As you emerge from the copse, turn onto the path leading down to the left, crossing another copse.
As you emerge from this new copse, the view opens up but the path becomes a little less distinct. Continue straight down to rejoin the path further down, then reach a small tarmac road. Take this to the left and head down to the junction with the D30 road.
(4) Cross the D30 and take the road opposite leading down to Les Chavannes. Near the Couzon stream, turn left to head back up to Pavezin. Pass in front of the sewage treatment plant. Once you reach the D30, the car park comes into view (S/E).
