Parking Rue de Général De Gaulle (D2004) or Rue du Capitaine North near the Arthur Metz wine cellars.
(S/E) Walk up Rue Paul Laugel to the right of the shop. At the top of the street, turn left to enter the vineyards in the direction of the Anneau Rouge sign. Walk along the tarmac path to the Carrefour du Figuier crossroads.
(1) Turn left onto the dirt track towards the forest. Before the forest, you will come to a viewpoint with some explanations.
(2) Follow the path through the forest marked Anneau Rouge until you reach the junction with a tarmac road. Leave the Anneau Rouge trail and turn right.
(3) Follow this road for a few hundred metres until you reach the next crossroads. Turn right onto the road leading towards the farm visible in the distance. There is a falcon breeding centre here.
(4) Continue straight ahead on the dirt track that runs alongside the field. When you reach the edge of the forest, continue straight ahead through the woods. After about 200 metres, at the fork in the road, continue to the right until you reach the next crossroads.
(5) Turn right onto a path marked with a red ring. Descend into the vineyards and, at the start of the tarmac road, leave the red ring markings and take the dirt track on the right, marked with a green ring. The path ends at the edge of the forest and then descends to the left to join the tarmac road.
(6) Turn left for a visit through the vineyards overlooking Marlenheim on your right. After about 1.5 km straight ahead, you will come to a crossroads of tarmac paths.
(7) Turn right, following the Anneau Vert signs, descend about a hundred metres and turn right again near the wall of the water reservoir. Ignore the turn-off to the left and head towards the large white sign for "Mosbach".
(8) At the viewpoint (with Strasbourg Cathedral in the distance on your left), continue along the dirt track below the bench and you will come back down to Carrefour du Figuier.
(1) All you have to do now is walk back down to your starting point (S/E).
