Saint Wendelin Chapel and Goeftberg viewpoint

Parking is available in the car park in front of the stadium, Route de Kuttolsheim in Nordheim, which is located at the entrance to Nordheim on the right when coming from Kuttolsheim via the D220.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn right onto Rue de la Mairie (D220) and continue to a junction near the town hall and the church.

(1) Turn right onto Rue de la Chapelle (Red Ring signposting) and continue to the cemetery.

(2) Continue to the left (Red Ring signposting). Pass in front of the eco-museum and, after a left-hand bend, reach the junction with a road leading to Kuttolsheim. Continue straight ahead (no signposting) and join the D228.

(3) Follow this road for a few metres and take the^first path branching off to the left. Follow this path to the next junction with the road leading to Wintzenheim-Kochersberg.

(4) Follow the road to the left to reach, further on, the viewpoint: a beautiful view over the Alsace plain.

(5) From there, continue straight ahead. Ignore the^first path on the right, then turn onto the^second, wider path on the right. After a few metres, turn left and, at the next junction, continue straight ahead into the Mohrenberg.

(6) Turn left and pass the Mittelberg to reach the Schaeffelberg.

(7) Turn left again and continue until you reach a road further on.

(8) Follow it to the right (Red Ring markings) until you reach the entrance to Hohengoeft.

(9) At the bend, follow the path on the left, then turn left again and follow the Way of the Cross which climbs up to the left to reach Saint Wendelin’s Chapel.

(10) Continue along this same path (unmarked). Take care not to miss, after Goeftberg, the path leading into the undergrowth on the left. Continue along this same path, which leads back to a junction with a wider path.

(11) Continue to the left (Red Ring markings) and, further on, reach the Stephansberg antennas.

(12) After the bend, leave the road and follow the path leading down to the right (Red Ring markings), continuing to the next junction.

(13) Turn left onto the path (Green Ring markings) to reach Nordheim. Walk down through the village to the town hall and the church.

(1) From there, retrace your steps to return to the car park in front of the stadium on Route de Kuttolsheim (S/E).
