Park near the Lac de Salagou dam.
(S/E) From the car park, cross the dam, then continue along the track until you reach the first hairpin bend.
(1) Leave the track and take a stony path on the right, pass three hairpin bends and reach a flat area and continue at the foot of the basalt columns. Climb a rocky outcrop to emerge onto a new flat area and join a wide track.
(2) Turn left onto the track, go around a steep-sided valley and reach a crossroads of tracks and paths.
(3) Here, join thePR® marked in yellow. Do not take the stony path on the far right that climbs up into a pastoral area (private property). Continue along the correct path for a long time until you reach a junction.
(4) Continue straight ahead, still on the PR®.
(5) Continue downhill to the right to arrive above the houses of Les Vailhés.
(6) Continue straight ahead, temporarily leaving the yellow PR® markings. After 800 m, look for the path that branches off to the right.
(7) Descend towards the Notre-Dame des Clans chapel, then rejoin thePR® yellow markings that run alongside the lake.
(8) Follow this pleasant path, keeping to the left, until you reach the mouth of the stream.
(10) Go up a steep path to rejoin the wide track taken at the start of the route.
(3) Turn right, then go back along the track and the dam to return to the car park (S/E).
