Departure from Gargenville station (Transilien line J, between Paris-Saint-Lazare and Mantes-la-Jolie via Conflans). By car, park in the station car park located on Place de l'Europe.
(S/E) With your back to the station, turn right to reach a roundabout. Turn right, take the bridge over the railway line and follow Rue Gabriel Péri. At the next roundabout, turn left into Rue Pierre Brossolette.
(1) At the next roundabout, continue left along Rue Pierre Brossolette. Cross Avenue Victor Hugo to reach the banks of the Seine. Then take the towpath on the right. Take thefirst right, Rue de Seine. At the end, turn right onto Avenue Victor Hugo. Take thesecond left onto Rue Jean Mermoz.
(1) At the roundabout, turn left onto Rue Pierre Brossolette. Take thesecond right onto Rue Marcelle Chausson, then thefirst left onto Rue des Gamaches. Pass under a railway bridge.
(2) Immediately afterwards, turn right into a park and cross it, passing tennis courts and a skate park on your right (ignore the path on the left in the park). After passing through a small gate, you will come to Rue André Samitier. Follow this street to the right. Then turn left onto Rue du Moulin à Vent. Continue along the right-hand pavement until you reach Avenue de Paris (D190). Cross this avenue at the traffic lights and follow it to the right for a good hundred metres.
(3) Take a few steps to the left to enter a park and turn right. After passing a gymnasium, take the path on the left that leads to a playground. Turn right along the path and, at the end, leave the park to come out onto Avenue Thiers. Follow it to the left and pass two streets on the right. At the next intersection, turn right onto Rue Georges Clemenceau.
(4) Take thefirst right, Rue Charles Levieil. At the next intersection, turn left onto Rue du Lavoir. Ignore the streets on the side and, at the end of this street, make the first turn right then left to follow Rue Fanny Hallworth. At the end, turn right onto Rue Raoul Pugno. Ignore two streets on the right.
(5) Turn right onto Rue de l'Ile-de-France. Turn left onto this street, then continue straight ahead until you reach the back of the church, at the junction with Rue de la Division Leclerc on the left-hand side. Then, immediately turn right onto Rue Guillochée, which goes up behind the church. Turn left onto Rue des Groux and you will come to a junction in front of the church.
(6) Turn right onto Rue de la Division Leclerc, then right onto Rue de la Ferme. Take thefirst left, Rue René Chouquet, which has several bends. At the end, you will find Rue de la Division Leclerc again. Follow it to the right for a few metres (wash house). Retrace your steps and continue straight ahead until you reach the church.
(6) Turn right onto Ruelle des Moulins. Cross Rue Jules Ferry,
(7) Cross Rue de la Division Leclerc, then the car park opposite. Continue along Sente Jean Lemaire, which leads to the street of the same name. Cross Rue Victor Beaufils and continue along Rue du Ruisseau.
(8) Turn right onto Avenue de Paris (D190), then turn left to cross at the traffic lights. Continue along Avenue Lucie Desnos. Pass the first roundabout, then you will come to a second one, which you took on the way there. Turn right to return to the station and the starting point (S/E).
