Description of the walk

Park near Rue Jean Jaurès in Jeumont.

(S/E) Cross the Sambre and take the towpath on the right towards Erquelinnes-en-Belgique until you reach Route de Mons.

(1) Go under it and continue along the towpath to Lock No. 1 at Solre-sur-Sambre.

(2) Turn right towards the Radoub basin and follow the path to see the lock above the Sambre branch. Continue along the path, keeping the Sambre on your right. Cross Rue Auguste Blariaux and continue straight ahead on the path. Cross the Thure and you will arrive at the side of the castle of Solre-sur-Sambre.
