Parking available in the multi-purpose hall car park, a few metres from the starting point.
The starting point sign is located at the foot of the horse chestnut tree, opposite L'Oustal.
This sign contains a QR code which you can scan to hear a welcome message and explanations.
The route is marked with green arrows, then blue arrows for the longer route.
(S/E) Head south-west along the road and pass in front of the house with the square tower.
Follow this road to a T-junction. Turn left towards Mas de Cormes.
(1) Turn right after the first house in Mas de Cormes.
(2) Continue straight ahead until you reach Mas de Mérigues. Now follow the blue signs.
A voice QR code will provide information on the rest of the route.
A hundred metres further on, on the left, is a body of water commonly referred to as a "lake" on the Causse.
Here you will find the first information panel describing a piece of local heritage, with a QR code giving access to a detailed information sheet.
(3) Take the D40 on the right, heading south, for about 200 metres, then take the path on the left (called Carrièra de Pastresson).
(4) At the junction with the castine path, facing you, the entrances to two fields are marked by two large dry stone structures called "Pas", meaning passage.
Turn right, heading south-east. At the next crossroads (a place called Le Peyrefit), continue straight ahead and follow the castine path to discover the leaning tree, the grangette-abri (small barn/shelter), then the barn/stable.
At Mas de l'Artillou, discover a very pretty listed caselle. These dry stone huts are emblematic of the Causse landscape. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
(5) At the crossroads after Mas de l'Artillou, take the path on the left.
You will see a patch of short grass dotted with junipers and stunted oaks, known as a dry lawn.
Continue along this path, which narrows into a trail between two dry stone walls.
On the right, you will see Mas de Claude (Glaudi in Occitan).
(6) At the crossroads, take the gravel path on the left, heading north (Chemin du Moulin). Continue to the Dolmen du Peyrefit, located on the left, in a meadow a few metres from the entrance.
A dolmen is a funerary monument. There are nine of them in the commune of Espédaillac.
About 700 metres further on, you will reach a crossroads of castine paths.
(7) Turn left, pass in front of a recently restored barn and, a few metres further on, take the grassy path on the right. Join the route you have already taken and continue straight ahead.
(4) At the three-way junction, leave the route you have already taken and continue on the right-hand branch to reach L'Oustal (S/E).
