Access: from the church, take Rue de l’Abbé Dupé, then thesecond right onto Rue Georges Clemenceau. This street continues as Rue de Verdeau. At the last roundabout, continue straight ahead on the road to the aerodrome, known as the old Route de Cholet, for 800m to reach the lake. The car park entrance is on your right (please note, the entrance is not very visible).
(S/E) From the car park, head south and take the path going uphill parallel to the road; then turn onto the first path on the right. Continue until you reach the junction with a road.
(1) Follow this road to the right until you reach the D15.
(2) Turn right onto the path running alongside the D15, cross the road at the 111 mark with care, and continue along the path on the other side of the road. Turn left, leaving the edge of the D15.
(3) Please note: leave the edge of the D15 and take the path on the left leading towards La Trollière. Then follow the path climbing up to the right to avoid going through the farm.
(4) Turn left onto the road, then take the first path on the right and continue to the granite wayside shrine (photo).
(5) Take the path on the right that runs alongside the road, cross it at the 101-metre mark with care, heading towards the buildings at Petite Rivière. At the next path, turn right towards the hamlet of l'Ériboire. Then turn left onto the tarmac road that passes in front of La Brosse.
(6) At the 90° bend in the road, continue straight on until you reach the road to the aerodrome.
(7) Turn left, then immediately right onto the track towards La Grande Haie. At the 100-metre mark, turn left twice in succession. Follow the road for 100 metres, turn right towards La Caltière, cross the farmyard and continue leftwards to the Moulin de Pégon.
(8) At the crossroads, follow the road to the right for 200m (take care) and turn into the first path on the left. Follow this well-marked, recently laid path. Cross the bridge over the Ruisseau du Grand Millet and then the Èvre at La Petite Villette.
(9) Follow the river on your right, then turn away from it by taking a 90° left turn. Take the first path on the right and, immediately afterwards, turn left onto the path behind the housing estate.
(10) Once you reach the road to the airfield at May-sur-Èvre, turn left and follow the path running parallel to the road, which leads back to La Bouëre de l’Èvre.
(11) Head straight on to reach the lake and the car park (S/E).
. The signposting is sometimes lacking, but you won’t get lost thanks to the app.
