The route follows severalPR® trails and is marked in yellow.
Park in the village square opposite the town hall (large car park).
(S/E) From the car park, head north along the small flat road that passes in front of the town hall; it quickly leaves the village, overlooks a riding centre and quickly turns into a track and then a path that descends steadily towards La Gagne. Join a road and follow it until you reach a bridge.
(1) Do not cross the bridge, but take the road on the left and then the first path that climbs to the left. This path joins the road a little further on, in front of the Cancoules farm.
(2) Turn left onto the road that leads to the isolated house of L'Ouche (very beautiful views of the Gagne Valley and its tributaries on this section). Then climb up the wide south-east facing track which, after a right-hand bend, enters a wood and joins the D39 road.
(3) Follow the road on the right (take care) and, at the first crossroads, take the small road on the right and head for a pylon at the top of the hamlet of Machabert.
(4) Once you reach the pylon, take a path that descends rapidly to the left, almost turning back on itself. Cross the D39 (caution) and follow the Machabert stream valley. Take the opportunity to notice how quickly the streams flowing from the plateau descend into the valley.
(5) At the crossroads, all the paths are marked in yellow. Take the path that descends to the right to cross the stream and climb back up towards the hamlet of Soleilhac. Go around the hamlet, leaving it on your left, and join a small road. Follow this road and pass the access path to Malrevers to reach a path on the left.
(6) Take this wide path which crosses the meadows and joins a road.
(7) Take this road on the right which descends towards the hamlet of Souteyros.
(8) Before the hamlet, turn left onto a path that climbs uphill. This path overlooks a tributary of the Aubépin and joins a small road.
(9) Take this road on the left and then at the three-way junction.
(10) Take the road on the right. Continue straight on this road, which leads to Saint-Front via the aptly named hamlet of La Gare. Join the RD 39 and turn right for less than 100 metres.
(11) Turn left to enter the village centre. From there, head to the church and then the central square (S/E).
