Almost the entire route follows a yellow-marked trail (PR® starting from Saint-Front).
Park in the car park at the entrance to the village of Bigorre (access from the RD 39 and the village of Bournac).
(S/E) From the car park, head north on the road that crosses the village of Bigorre, then the village of Les Maziaux.
(1) On leaving the village of Les Maziaux, take the well-marked track on the left. It runs alongside wooded meadows for about 600 metres, then enters a beautiful forest of beech and conifer trees. You will come to a road in the village of Chalendard.
(2) Follow it south for about 700 m. You will come to another road; turn left and follow it until you reach a track nearby.
(3) Turn left onto the track and follow it for about 150 m.
(4) At a bend, leave the track and follow a small path on the right, which is fairly inconspicuous at first but quickly becomes clearly marked under the trees. You will reach the village of Les Saniaux, where you will find a road.
(5) Follow it to the first intersection with another road.
(6) At the intersection marked with a cross, leave thePR® for a moment and take the road towards a telecommunications antenna, heading north-west for about 300 m.
(7) At the antenna, turn onto the well-marked track heading west and rejoin thePR® markers. Cross part of the Bois de la Fayolle.
(8) At the bottom of the track, turn right onto the road that climbs towards the village of Bigorre, until you reach the car park (S/E).
