Namur walks

A lovely walk in the heart of Namur that takes you on a discovery of the citadel through parks and gardens.

Starting from the Namur Youth Hostel, where you will find parking spaces and access to public transport. Between paths, forest trails, views of the Namur countryside and the Meuse valley. There is little tarmac, except at the start of the route, but it is not dangerous and there is relatively little traffic. Moderator's addition on 03/08/2021: private property in (15). A walk alternating between the country lanes of the Plateau d'Erpent and the forest paths of the Bois Brûlé.

This route will take you through the vast Dave woods, where you can admire beautiful views of the Meuse valley and the village of Naninne, and explore Dave's secret little paths.

A walk to discover the village of Emines, its surrounding woods and streams. Take advantage of this easily accessible walk to discover several points of interest such as the place known as La Bruyère, the bucolic Pont de Seumoy bridge, or the Drève Clément. Rural landscape, half road, half footpaths. An unmissable route for locals!

Departure from the Sports Centre on Rue Célestin Hastir. The route is flat until you reach "Le Grand Saule" at 3.5 km and continues to the "Royal du Fayt" woods, just after 5 km. Then you walk through small woods and fields. A very varied route that is not too difficult.

After the Fontaine Ste-Gertrude, i.e. from km 6 to km 7, there is a gentle climb. After that, the course descends to the finish line. Beautiful views of the different landscapes.

A walk that takes you from Naninne to Dave along the Dave Stream.

An easy walk to discover the rocks of Beez with superb views of the Meuse.

This hike, which is not particularly difficult, will take you through the countryside and woods of the Namur Condroz. You will have the opportunity to pass by a fort, a remarkable farm, an old religious building and, towards the end, a ridge road with exceptional views.

A short walk along the hillside, almost entirely in the woods. Ideal in warm weather.

A lovely walk in the wooded hills of Marche-les-Dames: 1 km on the road to start with and 2 km on the towpath to finish, the rest is in the woods. The path is largely marked by blue rectangles. The walk described deviates slightly from these markings to follow the ridges but rejoins them towards the end.

This is a fairly challenging walk that allows you to discover the hill of Petite Hulle, the vast and high slope of Grande Hulle on the edge of the Meuse plateau, as well as the viewpoints of Sibérie and Couleuvrine and the Meuse towpath in Profondeville. The fairly steep slope of the Grande Hulle and the total elevation gain make this hike equivalent to a short climb. The route mainly follows dirt roads and trails. There is little tarmac.

Route of the unmarked route used for training walks organised by the "Les Spartiates de Gembloux" club. It takes place in the vicinity of Saint-Denis.

The hike takes you through countryside (mostly) and forest (a little) in Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse between the villages of Lesve (municipality of Profondeville), Bioul (municipality of Anhée) and Saint-Gérard (municipality of Mettet).In addition to nature, the route offers views – or sometimes just glimpses – of Frahan Castle (Lesve), Neffe Castle (private, turrets visible in the woods on the west side as you approach Bioul), Bioul Castle and its vineyards, the old mill and Saint-Gérard de Brogne Abbey.

Forest paths and trails, small country roads with little traffic, and paths connecting villages are sure to delight you in this part of the Namur Condroz. Large farms still in operation on the Assesse side, opulent houses on the banks of the Meuse and the Tricointe castle farm, completely renovated for housing and leisure on the Godinne side: the route allows you to discover a whole world of differences. The route offers a beautiful view of the Meuse valley from the heights of Mont-Godinne.
