Mûrs on the Aubance side

This looped circuit, accessible to all, allows you to discover the landscapes and built heritage of the banks and hillsides of the Aubance in the commune of Mûrs-Érigné. The Aubance is a winding river hidden behind dense vegetation. At a place called "La Chaussée", a statue of the Virgin Mary can be seen before you walk along the wooded foothills of the hillsides near Les Gilardières. Discovering the hamlets of Gaigné, Petit Claye and Grand Claye allows you to appreciate the local heritage (beautiful buildings, chapel). Passing near the village of Mûrs, you can see the sensitive natural area of the Aubance loops, whose biodiversity is protected by the municipality of Mûrs-Érigné and the Layon Aubance Louet Association. This wetland is a reservoir of biodiversity whose various ecological functions are essential to the region.

(8) Turn left and take a cycle path that runs parallel to the road at first, then veers off to the right. Take the bridge on the right over the A87 and follow the D160 for another hundred metres or so.

(9) Then turn left and cross the road carefully. On the other side, turn left and follow the road on your left. After about 100 metres, turn right at a 90° angle.

(10) At the fork shortly afterwards, turn left into Rue du Hutreau. Continue straight ahead between a field on your left and houses on your right. When the street turns right, continue straight ahead on a path. After about 100 metres, turn right and go downhill, keeping to the left of Chemin du Coteau Trioche.
