The starting point for this stage is at the Hotel Koncept Löie in Münsingen.
(S) From the Hotel Koncept Löie, head south on Bernstrasse until you reach the intersection with Schlossstrasse.
(1) Turn right onto Schlossstrasse. When you reach the castle, take the side road that leads directly to the station. Continue to the underpass (sign No. 3).
(2) Go under the railway tracks and join Dorfmattweg, which you follow until you reach a small stream (sign R).
(3) Turn left and follow the stream. Cross it via a small bridge and continue on the other side. You will come out onto Belpbergstrasse (sign R).
(4) Turn right and join the bridge over the Aare. Cross to the other bank, at the signpost on the right, and look for the start of a path.
(5) Turn left and start a steep climb, taking several steps that cross Stützenfahrstrasse.
(6) Head north-west along Kehrweg, leaving it at the first intersection (sign No. 3). Begin a steep climb and rejoin Berpbergstrasse at Hinter Klapf. Cross this road, follow Simmlernstrasse for about 30 metres and look for a sign on the right.
(7) Turn left onto the path overlooking Simmlernstrasse, rejoin this road at elevation 783 and continue to the hamlet of Simmlern (sign No. 3).
(8) Follow the signs W and No. 3 to the hamlet of Hofstetten (sign No. 3).
(9) Continue and cross Eggenhorn (sign No. 3) and reach Breitenacker (sign No. 3).
(10) Follow the signs to return to Untere Kiefern.
(11) Descend to Heitern and arrive at a road.
(12) Head west, after a long straight stretch lined with fields, you will arrive at the entrance to the village of Toffen (sign No. 3).
(13) Cross the river and the railway line. Turn right and follow Bahnweg, then Bahnhofstrasse and Grabenweg to reach Bernstrasse (sign No. 3).
(14) Cross Bernstrasse and turn onto Römerstrasse. After about 30 metres, turn right and follow the W and No. 3 signs along the forest path to Obertoffen (sign No. 3).
(15) Continue climbing southwards, passing through Boden. At an altitude of 851 metres, as indicated by sign No. 3, climb up to the Oberfeld farm, then turn southwards. Turn right at the W sign and head west to reach Längenbergstrasse (W sign).
(16) Cross the road as indicated by the W sign, continue through the forest and cross Muhlernstrasse. Shortly afterwards, at a triple junction, consult sign No. 3 and take the middle path, which ends on a small road at an elevation of 947 metres.
(17) Turn left and follow Buchweidweg to the Sternen restaurant in Gschneit. Cross the road and, as indicated by sign No. 3, continue on Tavelweg. Turn right at the next sign No. 3 and begin a fairly steep climb. Take a short detour to Tavel-Denken and enjoy the benches and orientation table.
(18) Continue climbing towards Leueberg (963 metres). At a W sign, head south. Follow the ridge, easily navigating with the numerous No. 3 signs to descend to Mättiwil.
(19) Head west and follow Haslistrasse for about 120 metres until you reach a west sign.
(20) Turn left and follow Jacobweg across a field to the first houses in Rüeggisberg. Join Dorfstrasse and walk to the church, where you will find the B&B Bären on your right, your accommodation for the night (E).
