Moosfluh – Riederfurka – Bettmeralp

Bergstation = Top station or arrival point.
Talstation = Lower station or start.

The start of this hike is at the Riederalp–Moosfluh Bergstation cable car station.
The end of this hike is at the Betten–Bettmeralp cable car top station.
From the Betten – Bettmeralp – Bergstation cable car station, walk to the Riederalp – Moosfluh Talstation cable car station. Approximately 1.75 km, which corresponds to the route (E) <=> (6)
Take a single ticket from Riederalp to Moosfluh.

(S) On arrival at Moosfluh, head towards the viewpoint overlooking the glacier to enjoy the superb panorama. Return to the cable car via the start of the ski run and the path reserved for pedestrians and snowshoes.
The footpath is to the left of the ski run and is marked by purple posts.

(1) Heading south, then south-west, make your way across the ski run once, taking care. Follow the track until you reach a junction towards Chüestall.

(2) Continue westwards to the top of the Hohfluh chairlift.

(3) Enjoy the view of the Aletsch Glacier one last time. Begin the descent towards Riederfurka. Note the magnificent Villa Cassel as you pass.

(4) Return to the village of Riederalp by crossing several ski runs, taking care at all times.

(5) At the Riesderalp West station, heading east, take the Aletschpromenade to the Moosfluh station.

(6) Stay on the Aletschpromenade to reach the Bettmeralp cable car. (E)

• Markings: Purple posts (winter route).
• The winter route does not necessarily follow the summer path. Winter paths run alongside the ski runs. Cross the ski runs with caution at the clearly marked crossings.
• This route cannot be used for a summer hike.
