Departure from the hamlet of Bachellerie, accessible from the D3 between Blond and Cieux. Keep to the side of the road at the entrance to the hamlet.
In addition to the markings, there are directional signs at various points: always follow the Route des Cimes.
Yellow + red and yellow markings
(S/E) Head east, passing a large building with private parking on your left, and cross the hamlet. Walk between two fences, turn left and descend.
Yellow markings
(1) At the three-way junction, turn right and continue downhill into a wood with a meadow on your left. You will come out onto the D3 road. Follow it to the left for about 100 metres. At a right-hand bend, leave the road and take a path (not shown on the map) that climbs up to the left (mountain bike sign). At a T-junction, turn right. At the next three-way junction, turn right and walk along a meadow on your left.
(2) At the next three-way junction, turn sharply left. Pass a small house on your right, ignore two paths on your left and descend towards the hamlet of La Betoulle. Cross the hamlet and you will come to a small triangular square (no. 19 on the right; do not go down to the road).

(3) Then take a grassy path on the left that runs between the wall of a small garden on the left and a house on the right. Note a spring/watering hole on the left, then walk between a pine forest on the left and a fenced meadow on the right. Walk steadily up the valley on a path lined with low walls (not shown on the IGN map).
(4) After passing the end of the meadow on the right-hand side, continue along a narrow, stony path uphill. At a crossroads (not shown on the map), continue straight ahead. At the next crossroads (elevation 474), turn left.
(5) At the crossroads, first turn right then left (mountain bike sign) and descend onto a wide path bordered by another parallel path on the right-hand side. At the next crossroads, turn left onto a sunken path and keep to the wider path running parallel on the left-hand side. Further on, rejoin the path and follow it, veering left. At the fork that appears shortly afterwards, turn right.

(6) At the intersection, continue straight ahead with theGRP® des Monts de Blond. At the next junction, go straight ahead, with a parallel path on the left. At the T-junction that follows (not shown on the map but located under the word "des"), find the path and follow it to the right. When the path turns sharply to the left, leave it and continue straight ahead on a path which, after a few dozen metres, is lined with tall trees. Ignore a path on the left, go downhill and then make a wide curve to the left, overlooking a road on the right.
Yellow + Red and Yellow markings
(7) At the "Le Bost" sign, continue straight ahead (ignore the yellow and blue markings that branch off to the right onto a path not shown on the map). At the next crossroads, go straight ahead, climb steadily and keep heading south-west. Cross a perpendicular path, reach the hamlet of Le Charlet and turn right onto a small tarmac road. At the three-way junction which follows (pond on the right), go left.
(8) Ignore a path branching off to the right (Route des Hauts de Blond) and continue straight ahead. Climb uphill and ignore a path on the right leading to a meadow. Walk along the meadow on your right and, at a fork, turn right.
(1) At the three-way junction, turn right and continue uphill. At the top, turn left and return to the hamlet of Bachellerie (S/E).

An ideal hike in warm weather, with trails only and shade throughout. Easy to follow as it is well described and well marked. And a medley of scents... A real pleasure.
