Start from the hamlet of Bachellerie, accessible from the D3 between Blond and Cieux. Park on the roadside at the entrance to the hamlet.
In addition to the markings, there are directional signs at intervals: always follow the Route des Cimes.
Yellow + Red and Yellow markings
(S/E) Head east, passing a large building with a private car park on your left, and cross the hamlet. Walk between two fences, turn left and head downhill.
Yellow markings
(1) At the three-way junction, turn right and continue downhill through a wood with a meadow on your left. You’ll come out onto the D3 road; follow it to the left for about a hundred metres. At a right-hand bend, leave the road and take a path (not shown on the map) that climbs to the left (mountain bike marker). At a T-junction, turn right. At the next three-way junction, turn right and follow the path alongside a meadow on your left.
(2) At the next three-way junction, turn sharply left. Pass a small house on your right, ignore two paths branching off to the left and head down towards the hamlet of La Betoulle. Cross the hamlet and arrive at a small triangular clearing (no. 19 on the right; do not go down to the road).
Markings: Yellow + Yellow and Blue
(3) Then take a grassy path to the left which runs between the wall of a small garden on the left and a house on the right. Note a spring and drinking trough on the left, then walk between a pine forest on the left and a fenced-off meadow on the right. Climb steadily up the valley on a path lined with low walls (not shown on the IGN map).
(4) After passing the far end of the field on the right, continue up a narrow, stony path. At a junction (not shown on the map), continue straight ahead. At the next junction (elevation 474), turn left.
(5) At the crossroads, first turn right then left (mountain bike marker) and head down a wide track bordered by another parallel track on the right. At the next junction, take the left-hand sunken path and keep to the wider parallel track on the left. Further on, rejoin the track and follow it, veering left. At the Fork in the road that appears shortly afterwards, take the right-hand path.
Markings: Yellow + Yellow and Blue + Red and Yellow
(6) At the junction, continue straight on along theGRP®® des Monts de Blond. At the next junction, go straight on, with a path running parallel on the left. At the T-junction that follows (not shown on the map but located beneath the word “des”), rejoin the path and follow it to the right. When the path turns sharply left, leave it and continue straight on along a track which, after a few dozen metres, is lined with tall trees. Ignore a turn-off to the left, go downhill and then make a wide left-hand bend, overlooking a road on the right.
Yellow + Red and Yellow markings
(7) At the “Le Bost” sign, continue straight ahead (ignore the Yellow and Blue markings heading right onto a path not shown on the map). At the next crossroads, turn right, climb steadily and keep heading south-west. Cross a path at right angles, reach the hamlet of Le Charlet and turn right onto a small tarmac road. At the three-way junction that follows (pond on the right), go left.
(8) Pass a path branching off to the right (Route des Hauts de Blond) and continue straight on. Climb and ignore a path on the right leading to a meadow. Walk along the right-hand side of the meadow and, at a fork in the road, turn right.
(1) At the three-way junction, turn right and continue uphill. At the top, turn left and head back to the hamlet of Bachellerie (S/E).

An ideal hike in warm weather, with trails only and shade throughout. Easy to follow as it is well described and well marked. And a medley of scents... A real pleasure.
