In Chatebier, park on Rue de Chenebier, on the median strip by the ponds.
(S/E) Set off down the road alongside the pond hidden by the trees on the left. At the bend, take the forest track that climbs to the right. At the next fork, keep left on the track.
(1) At the crossroads where the track becomes quite wide (frequent wood storage), take the path that continues uphill, leaving another track on the left. You will arrive at a crossroads with several tracks (elevation 471).
(2) On this wide platform with a shed, turn right, south-west, onto a path that climbs straight ahead.
(3) You will reach a flat area under the trees where you will find the small rustic oratory of Sainte-Marie des Geais and, a little further into the woods at the edge of the path, the Pierre Saint-Desle, which is actually an old boundary stone of the Principality of Lure. Retrace your steps towards the path you took on the way there, but do not go back up it. Take the first path on the left and then immediately the first on the right.
(4) When you reach a track, turn left. Continue until you reach a left-hand bend in the track. Green building (hunting lodge)
(5) Take the small path that branches off to the right.Just before reaching it, turn right into the straight trench and come out onto a path. Take it to the right for about 50 metres and turn left to find a cross-country track (elevation 427).
(6) Turn right and continue along this main path. At the next fork, turn left onto a track until you reach Rue de Chenebier. Follow this road to the right and descend to your car (S/E).
