In Frahier, in the centre of the village, Place de la Libération with its fountain, follow the signs for Parking, then turn left towards "Aire de loisirs". Park in the Lizain car park.
(S/E) Take the small path between the fir trees towards the church, pass the post office, cross the RN 19 on the pedestrian crossing and then the church courtyard. Follow Rue d'Évette on the right.
(1) At the end of the street, pass Rue des Près on your right and the street that goes under the canal bridge on your left, and take the path on the left. Go up to reach the canal towpath and follow it to the right.
You will reach the end of the Étang de la Forêt, near the entrance to the underpass.
(2) At the barrier blocking access to the underpass, take the path on your right, known as "la Goutte Brachain", which leads to a pond. Continue for about 80 metres.
(3) Turn left onto the path that climbs into the woods and takes you over the underground passage (the Bois des Gouttes). At the top, continue to the left towards Évette-Salbert, pass under a power line and then take part of a marked path (blue triangle). At the crossroads with Rue du Thiamont, turn left (red circle marking). Continue to the crossroads with Route de Frahier. Take this road to the left for about 120 metres towards Frahier.
(4) Take the first path on the right, Chemin de l'Étang Daniel (signposted "Grand-Vie") red circle. Leave the first paths you come to on the left and right and continue to the next crossroads.
(5) Leave the marked route here and take the path on the left that climbs slightly between the place called "Les Andouillettes" and the Étangs de la Charbonnière. Climb up to the edge of the woods to reach a gravel path and a flat gravel area.
(6) Take the first path on the right to rejoin the wider Chemin des Grands Hauts a little further on. Follow it to the left to reach the road leading to Errevet (D219a). Take it to the left towards Les Creuses and Frahier.
(7) Take the first gravel path on the right, before the water tower and the bus stop. You will arrive just before the bridge that crosses the canal.
(8) Turn right to follow the canal through a pasture and then along a path.
(9) Passage de la Lizaine (pipe under the canal) Go around the old port of Frahier, pass under a bridge to reach the second bridge on Rue des Creuses.
(10) Go down Rue des Creuses on the right to the village's central square (Place de la Libération with its fountain).
(11) Pass in front of the pharmacy, cross Rue de Belfort (RN 19), and after a few steps, take the street on the left to reach the leisure area car park (S/E).
