Lüderenalp - Langnau im Emmental via the Alpenpanorama Weg

For ease of description, the following symbols are used:
R sign: Yellow sign with hiker pictogram
W sign: Sign or diamond with the annotation Wanderweg
Sign No. 3: Yellow multi-directional sign with green sticker No. 3

The starting point for this stage is at the Hotel Baernsicht in Lüderenalp.

(S) On the road leading out of the hotel, head west until you reach the first intersection with a No. 3 sign.

(1) Turn left, then at another sign No. 3, turn right onto a ridge path. Follow the signs No. 3 to Tällihütli.

(2) Leave the track that arrives at Tällihütli, take the path on the right indicated by a sign marked R, and continue to a crossroads with another sign No. 3.

(3) Take the path on the left and, heading south-west, follow the signs marked No. 3 downhill to a crossroads near the Fluhhüsli farm.

(4) Head south and follow the road downhill towards the Obere Hollern farm.

(5) Follow sign No. 3 and continue along this road. Pass Hollernscheuer and look for another sign No. 3 after a bend to the west.

(6) At sign No. 3, turn left into the forest. Follow the signs to reach a small road.

(7) At sign No. 3, turn right and continue to Ober Bagenschwand.

(8) Follow the signs and descend into the valley after passing several farms.

(9) At the signpost on the left, ignore the path on the left that leads to the Uebersrüti farm. Take the path on the right as indicated by the signpost. Descend to Langnaustrasse.

(10) Turn right onto Langnaustrasse and continue for about 50 metres until you reach a tunnel under the railway line. Cross the road with caution and go under the tracks.

(11) This is where you leave the Alpenpanorama Weg No. 3. Turn left and pass between the buildings. After a bend, you will reach the banks of the Ilfis river, where you will cross a small tributary canal.

(12) After the small bridge, leave the riverbank by turning left. Pass under a road and under the railway line to reach Burgdorfstrasse.

(13) Follow Burgdorfstrasse for about 200 metres, then turn left onto a small lane that connects to Hansenstrasse. Continue to the junction with Bernstrasse.

(14) Turn right onto Bernstrasse, and then, in the bend, take Dorfstrasse. Follow this street until you reach the Hotel Emmental, your accommodation for the night (E).

Normally, this stage of the route is Lüderenalp - Moosegg.
Due to a lack of accommodation in Moosegg, an alternative solution in Langnau is required.

• Alpine pastures: You will cross numerous alpine pastures, where farmers are very cooperative with hikers. Please stay on the paths that cross their property. Remember to close any gates behind you.
