Description of the walk

Start: Small car park by the side of the Cold Fell road by the sign of the Forestry England.

(S/E) Walk west toward the forest, passing the small gate. Continue straight on the main path until you see a large path on your left.

(1) Turn left and keep walking on this large path that will slowly turn.

(2) Arriving at an intersection of paths, turn right on the main path. Continue straight until seeing (1) and the entrance gate (S/E).

Worth a visit

Can visit Egremont town or finish the day at one of the pubs in Ennerdale village or do a walk around Ennerdale Water, which are very close by car.
