Liddes - Cabane de Mille

Departure from the Liddes bus stop on the N21 (arrange for a transfer from the Grand Saint-Bernard Hospice).

(S) Head east and climb up through the village via Rue du Fond de Ville. Further on, turn left onto Route de la Lantzeltaz and pass the post office.

(1) Shortly afterwards, turn right onto Chemin de la Cible. At a crossroads, first turn right then left to continue along Chemin de la Cible.

(2) Shortly after passing under a power line, take a track on the right. After a left turn, climb northwards.

(3) At the end of the track, continue north-northwest uphill. After a few hairpin bends at the edge of the woods, you will reach the chalets in the hamlet of Le Clou.

(4) Leave the forest road and continue climbing along a forest path to Erra d'en Bas.

(5) Turn right, heading east, to reach the hamlet of Erra d'en Haut.

(6) Turn 90° to the left and continue climbing, following the well-maintained fence. Then cross the Combe de Mille before reaching the hut of the same name (E).

(S) Swiss francs can be obtained from the cash machine at the bank located at the bus stop and at the start of the hike.
