Parking is available in the village square (Place de l’Église). Spaces are available behind the church and 50 metres away, or in front of the village hall. The square is inaccessible on market days, Sunday mornings and Tuesday mornings (in season only).
Only part of the route follows theGRP® Red/Yellow signposting. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid straying from the route.
(S/E) Head north and follow Rue de l'Étang (D10). Walk alongside the Grand Étang and you will soon reach a junction.
(1) Turn right and, at the next junction, go straight on.
(2) At a place called Le Croiset, first turn left then right to follow a path north-east (red and yellow markings). At the next junction, turn left.
(3) At the T-junction, turn left. Ignore a path branching off to the right. Join a small road at Moulin Lardot and follow it to the right for a few dozen metres.
(4) Take the second path on the right and follow the Cousin river on your right (do not cross the river). Large puddles may cover the path in this area.
(5) At the first bridge, continue straight on along the river (do not cross it). Shortly afterwards, the path turns left and moves away from the Cousin. Head uphill, stay on theGRP® and ignore the turn-offs to the right.
(6) You will reach the D10; cross it carefully and follow it to the right for about a hundred metres. Take the first path on the left. Walk westwards; a stream crosses the path in places.
(7) At the end of the track, turn left onto the road. At the end, follow the D36 to the right for about 100 metres until you reach a crossroads.
(8) Take the second left, the Route des Beurniers. Follow this small road south-west for about 1.5 km.
(9) At the junction at a place called Les Granges, go straight on. Cross the road and continue for 400 m.
(10) At the hamlet of La Tronçois, turn sharply right and, at the fork immediately ahead, take the left-hand path that runs between two houses. Go downhill, reach the Cure and follow it on your left.
(11) Turn left to cross the Cure via the bridge. At the fork that appears shortly afterwards, turn right and head uphill. Join a road, follow it as it continues and turn left with it.
(12) At the T-junction, turn left. Cross the Cure and reach the village of La Verdière.
(13) At the fork, keep to the right to follow the Cure at a distance.
(14) In Montgaudier, at the first farm, take the first path on the left. Cross a stream and head uphill towards the north-east. At a T-junction (elevation 399), turn left to quickly reach the hamlet of Montarin.
(15) Turn right onto Rue des Uziottes. Continue straight on until you reach a T-junction with another road.
(16) Then turn right, ignore the turnings on the left and walk past the cemetery on your right. Cross a road and continue straight on to the church (S/E).
