Short circular loop of La Cure near Vieux Dun

A short family walk. You start by going up the road, then descend along a magnificent path through woods of oak, beech, holly and hazel trees to La Cure, from where you climb back up to the starting point.

Description of the walk

Coming from Vieux Dun, just after the Pont du Vieux Dun, turn left and park 300 m further on along the picnic area with tables, including a large one under a shelter.

(S/E) Follow the tarmac Dun Forest Road. Reach the junction with the Fongis Forest Road, continue left for about a hundred metres to find the clearly signposted Chemin Paris junction.

(1) Turn left onto this path to head back down into the forest. Follow a few wide bends to reach the Rivière de la Cure.

(2) Turn left to follow the right bank, reaching the confluence with the Ruisseau de Saint-Marc. Stay on the right bank of the Cure. Reach the climbing site.

(3) Continue on to return to the picnic area car park (S/E).
