The start is opposite the Auberge de l’Atre, on the D10 road between Quarré-les-Tombes and Saint-Brisson.
(S/E) Take the path opposite the inn (on the other side of the road). Continue to the junction before the first pond.
(1) Then turn left. The path descends steeply. Take care: this is a wet area with springs – there is a lot of water and very mossy, and therefore very slippery, stones. The path passes a second pond and soon two more. The descent remains steep and wet, heading south-east.
(2) Turn south. Follow a stream and then head uphill.
(3) You’ll come out onto a path running perpendicular to the stream; follow it to the left. At a three-way junction, turn left and head uphill.
(4) Reach the small Châtelains road and follow it to the left, between meadows and woodland. Cross the hamlet of Huis Châtealin, taking the left-hand branch of the road. Continue along the road to a group of four trees, including a very large oak at the foot of which stands a memorial to the 1939–45 war.
(5) At the crossroads, turn left and, after a few hundred metres, you will return to the starting point (S/E).
