Park in the car park near the Dabo post office and Saint-Blaise Church, in the centre of the village of Dabo.
(S/E) Head towards Rue de la Zorn, passing in front of the post office building, then turn right towards "Petit Ballerstein".

Take Rue de la Zorn and then Rue du Ballerstein to reach the junction with Route du Petit Ballerstein on the right.
(1) At this intersection, take the forest path opposite, which climbs through the undergrowth and is marked "Geisterfelsen Grand Ballerstein, la circulaire du Baldur". The narrow forest path overlooks the road leading to the hamlet of Grand Ballerstein, passing at the foot of the remarkable puddingstone cliff, and reaches the Rocher des Corbeaux (viewpoint and picnic area).
(2) Continue along the forest path, which soon joins the Grand Ballerstein road. Follow this road to cross the hamlet of Grand Ballerstein.
(3) Opposite the red house at no. 18, head towards "Circulaire Baldur Heidenschlossfelsen". Continue along the forest path until you reach a junction of several paths. Turn left at the signpost for "Baldur grotte à 100 m".
(4) Turn left at the sign for "Baldur grotte à 100 m". The path descends to the foot of several imposing rocks and joins the forest path coming from the left. Continue downhill to a fork.
(5) Turn right onto the uphill trail marked "Heidenschlossfels". The trail quickly reaches the foot of the rock. After 50 m, take the sandstone staircase on the left to reach the magnificent viewpoint of the "Heidenschlossfels" rock overlooking the surrounding villages (bench), then retrace your steps.
Continue along the forest path marked "Circulaire du Baldur" which winds its way at the foot of this remarkable fractured rock bar and reach the place known as Le Geisterfelsen and the remarkable rock that marks the end of the bar. Pass between the rocks that mark the right-hand bend of the rock bar to continue along this mythical path.
Reach the junction of several paths on the descent.

(6) Do not continue along the Anneau Bleu markings but turn left immediately at the wooden marker post to descend this narrow and easy path. After about 100 metres, this forest path first crosses a forest track, which you should cross to take a second unmarked forest path opposite, which leads to the Route Forestière du Grand Ballerstein. Follow this road to the right for about 100 metres.

(7) Take the forest path on the far left, which descends gently until it reaches the D45 (elevation 358). Cross it carefully and continue to the hamlet of Lochmuhl.

(8) Turn right between the houses onto flat ground and a stony road and, after 150 metres, turn left onto the forest path marked "Dabo par Rocher du Sickert".
The path crosses the wooden bridge over the Dabo stream and then winds upwards to reach a forest road, which you follow for a few metres to the left to rejoin the path leading to Rocher du Sickert.
The forest path climbs under the pine trees, crosses several paths and reaches the Sickert Forest Road.
Continue along the path marked "Rocher du Sickert" to reach the Rocher du Sickert crossroads.
(9) Take the path up to the rock and, on the left, take the path marked "Route autour du rocher" (Circuit around the rock), which is worth the detour, to find the path marked "Point de vue" (Viewpoint) at the end of the circular route.
Reach the summit of Rocher du Sickert (bench) and its beautiful view of Rocher de Dabo, then retrace your steps to the crossroads.
(9) Continue along the path towards Dabo until you reach the Adactem Fountain and the Sickert Forest Road, then pass the intersection with another forest road and take the forest path opposite, continuing until you reach a fork.

(10) Take the path opposite marked "Dabo stade et camping" until you reach the tarmac road markedGR®53.

Continue right on this road to reach the junction of the D45 and the Route du Rocher et du Schlosskopf (elevation 536). Cross carefully to take the Route du Schlosskopf opposite.
No markings
(11) Pass in front of Camping du Rocher and, after 100 m, take the narrow path on the right.

Continue along the path that climbs towards the "Rocher du Dabo" sign to reach Route du Rocher.
Note: just before the safety barrier on the right, note the start of a small path to take for the return to the village.
(12) Cross the safety barrier (designed to be crossed), carefully cross Route du Rocher and continue on the path opposite marked "Vers le rocher".
Walk around the rock (remarkable 360° viewpoint) and retrace your steps, following the signs for "Retour village" and then "Dabo village", crossing the safety barrier on Route du Rocher via the designated crossing point.
(12) Descend for about 2 metres and, after the wooden signpost, turn left onto the path partially hidden by tall grass.
No signposts
After about ten metres, the path widens under the pine trees and, after a bend (bench), joins the first circular of the Route du Rocher. Cross it carefully to the right and enter the safety barrier.
(13) Take the stone steps on the left and follow the narrow path through the tall grass. As before, the path widens after 20 metres in the undergrowth to join Rue du Château.
(14) Go down the street on the left, pass between the town hall and the church to return to the car park (S/E).
