The four woods and the Pointe du Bec de Vir in Tréveneuc

From Port Goret, follow the coastal path along the heights of the Goëlo coast. From the top of the steep cliff, breathe in the sea mist and the scents of unspoilt nature. Nestled between land and sea, the heart of the village, with its recent developments, retains its old-world charm. As you walk along the route, its old stones echo a calm and serene way of life, woven with local tales and legends.

Worth a visit

Pointe du Bec de Vir.
The view of the coastline from Pointe du Bec de Vir is breathtaking!
The access path runs alongside cultivated fields before overlooking the base of the high cliffs of Plouha and the vast Plage du Palus to the north.
Further south, the rock formations of the St-Quay islands and the rocky plateau of Les Rohein are easily visible at low tide. You can also spot the Saint-Quay-Portrieux semaphore. This sentinel has been watching over maritime traffic in the bay since 1860.

A very beautiful route in fine weather.
It took us two hours, without rushing.

Very pretty views on the GR®34.

A very pleasant walk with a good balance between the customs officers' path and the magnificent views it offers, as well as the crossing of the quiet and friendly village, much of which is on footpaths and the rest on a small road where we did not encounter a single car.
Be careful, however, at point 8 not to go to the beach, but to take a path that goes up to the right, with a few steps. It's easy to miss if you're not paying attention 😉.
We encountered two squalls separated by beautiful clear spells, which created a superb array of colours on the sea.
Despite the somewhat unpredictable weather, we weren't the only walkers on the coastal path, but of course there was no comparison with how busy it gets in high season.

A beautiful hike starting from the centre of Tréveneuc (point 5) on a sunny Sunday in June.
The route to point 8 is peaceful: a small road at the start, then a country lane and a pretty downhill stretch through the forest. This first part ends in spectacular fashion with a climb up to the cliff, where you can look out over the coastline and enjoy a magnificent view of Palus beach.
The long coastal section of the walk is simply magnificent, with quite a few people between the car park at the start/finish and point 1 (nothing too bad though).
The section leading to the town centre is also pleasant.
All in all, this is a highly recommended hike with very little road walking.
