Description of the walk

You can start at other points on the circular, but the 'official' starting point is at the church car park.
Direction: Leave Hautepierre and finish at the viewpoint.

Yellow markings

(S/E) Opposite the church, turn right to reach an intersection. Turn left, walk along the football field and arrive at a crossroads.

(1) Take the road on the right and do not follow the path. At the fork, keep right, then turn left before continuing straight ahead to a crossroads at the edge of a pasture.

(2) Leave the farm road on the left to walk along the pasture and reach the forest. Continue straight ahead to reach the road.

(3) Cross the road and continue straight ahead until you reach the end of the path. Turn left towards Sémont and the farm gate.

(4) Go through the gate and close it behind you. Continue straight ahead until you reach the crossroads.

(5) Turn left onto the road that descends to a fork and a wooded area.

(6) Follow the track to the left of this woodpile, following the yellow signs for "Circular de Hautepierre". Continue straight ahead until you reach a forest hall (picnic possible).

(7) Then follow the path on the left until you reach the edge of the pasture.

(8) Turn right, then left onto the path that climbs into the forest before reaching a road.

(9) Continue along the road on the left before turning left and arriving at another fork with a path.

(10) Leave the road and follow the forest path up the steep climb. Then turn left and you will reach a white path after the cattle grid.

(11) Take this path towards the antenna and the summit of La Roche (you can make a round trip to admire the view of Mont Blanc and the upper Loue valley).

(12) Continue to the left, then at the crossroads, turn left and then right to return to the church car park (you can enjoy a drink at the community café) (S/E).
