The hamlets of Solages, Ginebret and Boutavy as seen from Faragous

Parking in the hamlet of Faragous in the commune of Montlaur, at the entrance to the hamlet on the right-hand side after the wayside cross, on the grass.

(S/E) Head towards the hamlet, keeping the wayside cross on your right. At the houses, keep left and, just after the last building on the right, go down the dirt track on the right which passes beneath the houses to join another track running perpendicular to it, which also descends from the hamlet. Take this track to the left towards the Solages farm on the hill. You’ll reach the bridge over the Ravin de Pari.

(1) Shortly after the bridge, turn right at the next junction and reach the hamlet of Solages.

(2) Pass between the two buildings and continue straight ahead, veering slightly to the right onto the roughly tarmac-surfaced track. After about 500 m, you’ll reach the bottom of the descent.

(3) Pass the entrance to Gommaric Farm on your left and take the dirt track branching off to the right for about 150 m. Pass the Ravin de Pari again, follow the path to the left which runs alongside the stream for a few hundred metres, then veer off to the right to reach the buildings at Ginebret.

(4) Pass between the buildings to reach the tarmac road. Take this road, heading down to the left, and continue to the cross.

(5) Take the path climbing up to the right to reach the banks of a stream.

(6) Turn right onto the hairpin bend on the path overlooking the Ravin de la Goude. Follow this path, which eventually turns into a farm track, to come out onto the tarmac road just before the Boutavy farm.

(7) Follow the road ahead to the Faragous crossroads and the car park (S/E).

(7) Before turning right, on the left after about twenty metres, you will find a stream crossing in the shade.
