To reach the starting point from the centre of the village of Camarès, cross the Pont Neuf and head up to the left into Rue de l’Église. After the right-hand bend, turn left onto Rue du Cimetière. After the cemetery, turn right then left. Continue straight on along this small tarmac road, cross a small bridge and climb a series of hairpin bends. At the top of the hill, park your car on the lay-by on the left.
Note from the organiser: see the advice regarding the start of the walk
(S/E) Cross the road and take the path opposite which runs alongside a paddock on the left.
(1) After 750m, cross the path and continue straight ahead along the edge of the field. Follow this field edge for 700m until you find a path opposite that is circular and goes down to the right.
(2) At this crossroads, take the second path on the right heading west. Ignore the first one going uphill, as it is a dead end, as well as the one on the left towards the Ruisseau de Prugnes. Further on, leave the path leading to Cazelles on your left and carry straight on.
(3) At the end of the path, cross the field and head up to the left after crossing the stream. Then veer to the right.
(4) Walk for about 200m and climb up to the right to come out into a field.
(5) Follow the edge of the field opposite to rejoin the original path.
(1) Follow the edge of the field on the left to return to the starting point (S/E).
