Park at the Pont de Berthéon.
Yellow markings
(S/E) Take the path that starts at the end of the bridge on the left bank of the Vallon de Berthéon towards Point Sublime, La Saussette.
(1) At marker 5, continue towards Point Sublime and do the same a few metres further on at marker 6, turning right.
The trail quickly leaves the forest and enters the heart of the pelite, a wine-red coloured rock. Along this section, several information panels provide details about the nature and origins of this rock. Continue until you reach a junction at signpost 7a.
(2) Turn right to reach Point Sublime, following the trail and cairns carefully. On the last few metres, reach Point Sublime by descending a few metres on the southern slope. Do not follow the ridge, which leads to a dangerous dead end.
(3) From Point Sublime, the panorama is magnificent and there is a breathtaking view of the gorges on the north side. Then retrace your steps to the previous intersection.
(2) Turn right towards Pont de Cante.
The trail continues along a balcony through the forest and joins the RD88 after a few hairpin bends.
(4) Follow the road downhill to the right until you reach marker 8.
(5) Climb up to the left, still heading towards Pont de Cante, and at signpost 9, turn left towards La Saussette. After a few bends, the view of the gorges is also very pretty. Continue climbing until you reach the road, cross it at a bend and follow the path on the other side to reach the hamlet of La Colla at signpost 77.
(6) Continue straight ahead towards La Saussette, then at a wayside shrine at marker 69, turn left (still towards La Saussette). Pass a chapel and start descending on the right through a few houses.
(7) At marker 68, cross the road again and descend towards the Pont de Berthéon. After a long descent through the forest, you will arrive at marker 6 and then at the crossroads with marker 5 that you passed on the way there.
(1) Continue towards Pont de Berthéon to return to the starting point (S/E).
