Description of the walk

Coming from Vesoul, take the Luxeuil-les-Bains exit, pass under the motorway and turn right at the roundabout. Coming from Épinal, exit at Luxeuil-les-Bains and turn right at the roundabout. The animal centre car park is opposite the Banney shopping area.

(S/E) Take the path at the far end of the car park, to the left of the wooden shelter. This leads to a trail and then a forest road known as Route Napoléon. Turn right and follow this long straight road for 200 metres.

(1) Turn left onto a path that climbs steeply through the woods to the beautiful Fontaine Lévêque fountain.

(2) Do not return to the forest road, but continue along the path opposite, which runs alongside the Route Forestière des Deux Fontaines. Pass a spring surrounded by sandstone stones and continue to a wooden bench.

(3) Continue straight ahead, slightly to the left. Turn right at the next path and continue to the Fontaine du Tonneau fountain.

(4) Go up to the right on the forest road and follow the straight, ascending path opposite, signposted Fontaine des Bons Cousins. Continue straight ahead, crossing a path where there is a pumping station and a bench, then a forest road. About 200 metres further on, turn right onto a discreet path that leads to the Fontaine des Bons Cousins.

(5) Return to the forest road, turn right and return to the car park (S/E).
