Depart from the car park at Place du Marché in Beaumes-de-Venise.
(S/E) Leave the car park and turn right onto Avenue Gambetta. A little further down, the Cave Oléicole sign indicates the direction of the mills via theGRP®® (red and yellow markings). Continue towards the Chapelle Sainte-Anne, which you should go around on the right.
(1) At the crossroads at Les Moulins, turn left towards Col du Cayron (yellow markings). Walk along Chemin des Moulins, then turn right onto the D90 and then left onto Avenue du Portail Neuf, then take the first street on the right: Chemin de Durban. Continue until you reach the Grône crossroads.
(2) Turn left onto Chemin des Gonnet (yellow). Climb up and leave the tarmac road to turn left onto the footpath known as Montmirail (small blue markings). The path is steep in places, leading to the plateau in a vineyard. Enjoy the views of Beaumes-de-Venise.
(3) Continue following the markings, descend and head towards the Dentelles, your destination!
At the Urban crossroads, head towards Col du Cayron/Sourias. Continue along Chemin de Durban until you reach a crossroads.
(4) The yellow markings invite you to continue straight ahead between two vineyards, but do not follow them and turn right onto the tarmac road. Continue until you reach a crossroads with buildings, then take the path on the left (yellow and blue markings). Further on, go around a house on the left (Le Grand Montmirail), then descend to find a small car park with a sign presenting the Dentelles in a left-hand bend.
(5) Take the small path that branches off to the left of the sign and climbs (quite steeply) to take you almost to the foot of the Dentelles.
(6) Almost at the top, at a post (silence zone for wildlife), leave the main path (blue) and take the path that climbs towards the cliffs on the right (it rejoins the blue path) which runs along the Dentelles at the foot of the cliffs. Take the path on the right which runs along this cliff for a good while (yellow and blue). Be careful, as the markings are sometimes a little old and you have to look for them, but stay as close to the cliff face as possible.
(7) About 800m further on, at a junction marked with a blue and yellow cross and a blue dot, turn right to descend steeply into the scree (blue markings). Be careful, it's slippery! When you reach a flat area, continue straight downhill, then the path becomes flatter in the forest.
(8) When you reach a vineyard, the path veers to the left, heading towards the village of Lafare. Further down, turn left onto a small road and 100 metres further on, turn right to cross the river and climb back up to the departmental road.
(9) Follow this road for 100 metres to the right to reach the Lafare Mairie sign.
Turn left towards La Roque-Alric (yellow). Follow the main road for 1.5 km until you reach the Les Môles sign on the edge of the D90A.
(10) Turn right onto the road towards Les Esplantades, ignore the trail on the right and continue on the road towards Saint Michel. Enjoy the village of La Roque Alric and continue on the same road (D90A) towards Le Pointillard. About 200 metres after an oratory, leave the road and turn right onto a path to reach the next crossroads.
(11) Turn right towards Beaumes-de-Venise. Continue towards Beaumes-de-Venise via theGRP®® du tour des Dentelles (red and yellow) trail, ignoring all other trails. Go around the hamlet of La Gourjonne and continue to a crossroads.
(12) Head straight ahead towards Beaumes-de-Venise, staying on the main path. After 400 metres, turn left at a right angle, pass La Frigoule, and continue along the main path for more than 2 kilometres, ignoring the other paths.
(1) Back at the Moulins crossroads, continue straight on to the village square and turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
