Park in the Chrysostome André car park, accessible from Avenue Jean Henri Fabre (Route de Sarrians).
(S/E) From the car park, walk up towards the old town and turn right onto Rue Théodore Aubanel.
(1) Continue straight ahead on Avenue de l'Abbé Arnaud. Cross Avenue Frédéric Mistral to reach Place Anne Benoîte Guillaume, where the old Hôtel-Dieu hospital is located. With your back to the Hôtel-Dieu, continue right on Avenue Frédéric Mistral and walk up the Cours car park to the fountain and the old wash house.
(2) Retrace your steps and turn right under the Porte de France (Cabanette et Remparts) into Rue Baroncelli de Javon. Immediately continue right into Rue des Lices, turn right again at the crossroads into Rue de la Poterne and right again into Rue de la Pousterle. Turn left onto Avenue Frédéric Mistral.
(3) Turn right onto Chemin de la Combe. At the fork, continue straight ahead onto Traverse du Canal.
(4) At the end of this cul-de-sac, follow the Canal de Carpentras, turning right.
(5) Go over the Chemin de Gargamiane bridge. Follow the canal as it turns right at a right angle.
(6) At the next right turn, cross the canal on the footbridge, descend below the canal and turn left onto the track. Pass in front of an access point under the canal. At the fork, turn right to go around the vineyards. The panorama opens up onto the Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux and the Château du Barroux, then onto Beaumes-de-Venise and the Plateau des Courens. The track turns into a small road called "Chemin de la Pinière".
(7) At the crossroads, turn left onto the Ancienne Route d'Orange à Malaucène, then left again onto the Chemin des Étangs, which is a small tarmac road. Continue until you reach a fork.
(8) Take Chemin de la Jugiove on the right. Pass between houses, some of which are still under construction.
(9) In front of a large oak tree, turn right down a path that runs alongside the vineyards (caution: if you miss this turn, you will enter private property!). Continue until you reach Avenue Anselme Mathieu (D10).
(10) Cross over to find Chemin du Canal de Carpentras opposite, to the right of a green barrier. Continue along this path. The Canal de Carpentras is on your left.
(11) At the entrance to the town, just before the roundabout, cross Avenue Joseph Roumanille and continue opposite along the canal, which is still on your left.
(12) When you reach Avenue Joseph Roumanille, turn right. At the next crossroads, turn right onto Chemin de Patin.
(13) After the Oratoire de Saint-Marc, turn left to return to the old town centre on Chemin de Saint Marc. (Please note: this road is very narrow and has no pavement). Then cross Place du Général De Gaulle, turn left in front of the ramparts and continue to the Église Saint-Victor, which backs onto the ramparts and its square.
(14) Go around the church on the right and join Rue du Tour des Remparts. Exit through the Portail Neuf and turn left onto Allée Nicolas Mignard. A little further on, turn left, then right into the ramparts onto Rue du Portail Neuf.
(15) At Place de la Mairie, go around the building on the right to return to the initial fork via Rue de la Nation.
(1) Turn right and follow the same route you took on the way there to return to the car park (S/E).
