Park in the car park at Saint-Anne du Houlin.
(S/E) Follow the D40 southwards to cross the bridge.
After a bend, take the Way of the Cross on the right (the small 16th-century chapel is on the left). Turn left then continue straight on towards Ker Anna. Take the road that crosses Le Houllin then turn left.
(1) Cross the D40 ( take care) and continue straight ahead. Head towards the hamlets of La Ville-Daniel (on the left, a lane leads to the pretty manor house) and La Porte-Vinsot, then descend towards the river.
Before reaching Chesnay d’en-bas, turn right then left into the sunken lane and head down opposite.
(2) Pass the stone bridge on your left and continue along the left bank of the Gouët.
(3) Pass the Moulin de Saint-Méen on the right (private property), continue along the Gouët: this is the river’s rocky section, then cross the Crénan footbridge on the left.
(4) After the footbridge, continue to follow the Gouët along its right bank. Reach the Moulin du Richard.
(5) Turn right, then follow the grassy path that runs alongside the river’s bend. Pass the ford on your right and continue straight ahead.
(6) At the three-way junction, continue straight ahead, leaving the Champs Branlards on your right, then turn left.
At the Tertre au Vin car park (cross), take the sunken path on the right then head down to the left.
At the ruins of Moulin Crénan, head down to the right then cross the stream.
(7) Follow the right bank of the Gouët. The path overlooks the boulder fields. Go through the granite gate (with a carved millstone above), leaving the footbridge at Moulin de Saint-Méen and then the stone bridge on your left.
(8) Leave the riverbank by taking the path on the right towards the valley (the yellow markings continue on the left). Continue on the left towards Porte Chambrin and, at the bend, take the path straight ahead downhill (50m to the right, a menhir) towards Ville Tiennot.
Return to the right bank of the Gouët.
Turn left and continue past the dam to return to the starting point. (S/E)
the route is no longer the same. From now on, you must follow the red dots that have been placed on small triangles.
