Car park (hill 317) after the D7/D104 crossroads in the direction of Etaules.
(S/E) Leave the car park on the wide sandy path for about ten metres, then take a path that climbs to the left through hardwood trees, marked in blue until it reaches the top. Turn right and follow the blue signs for 2.5km.
(1) You cross the GR®7, continue by turning right and following the blue markings. On the right, you'll see a sign suggesting a variant, where the path splits into two and takes you along the cliff edge, not to be missed... at the end of the variant, you're back on the main route.
(2) Leave the path and descend to the right into the Combe au Prau.
Stay at the bottom of the valley, beautiful with rocks and small cliffs. At the bottom, the path enters a small valley which ends with a clump of fir trees and a few tables with benches.
(3) Continue along the white path on the right for 400m. Take the dirt track on the left which crosses the Suzon valley.
(4) Join the D7, after the Suzon, turn right for 250m.
You're at the bottom of a small fenced-in valley that leads to the Source de Saint-Fol, with the Saint-Fol cliffs in the background. Take the path on the left and climb up to the spring (which I've never seen dry up).
(5) After the spring, take a path on the right that climbs quite steeply towards the cliffs, which we'll follow to the left.
There are some fine passages, and you might end up using your hands. Turn right, going along the rock faces, and 100m further on, you can take a break and enjoy the scenery.
Return to the route, following the blue markings you've just found for 2.5km on a narrow path on the edge of the Val Suzon flank. You come to a wide white path which, on your left, leads to Sainte Anne (stork).
(6) Turn right. Immediately on the left you'll see a water supply for animals, and 50m further on the left an old, barely-marked track leads to an abandoned farmhouse.
Continue along this white track through pinewoods to a crossroads.
Opposite there is a barrier. Turn right onto the track leading downhill. 300m further down is a sunken lane, there are several options here.
(7) Turn right, following the blue marker, as far as La Roche Château.
The path continues through a vertical hole in the rock - take care not to hit your head on the sharp edges as you exit at the bottom. Descend with the rock to the right and follow the signs to an enclosure with (very affectionate) donkeys.
Return to the D7.
Follow it to the right and, at the crossroads, turn left onto the D104 to meet the cars at the car park(S/E).
