Description of the walk

(S) Once you are equipped and shod, set off from Lélex in front of the Tourist Office to begin your adventure. Cross the village on the left until you reach the Route du Frenet.

(1) Take the road on the right that follows the GR®509. Descend to the Valserine River and cross the Pont de la Fruitière bridge.

(2) After the bridge, take the GR® on the left and continue on Route du Niaizet, which becomes a dirt track for the next 2 km.

(3) Atthe junction towards Haute Cernaz, continue on the GR® on the right, which leads into the forest, and continue straight on until you reach a small road.

(4) Turn left onto the GR® to Les Closettes, leaving the forest.

(5) Leave the GR® and GRP®. Turn 90° right into the meadow, following the yellow-marked PR® straight ahead for 3.5 km.

(6) When you enter the valley, at the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the PR®. Do the same at all the junctions and you will reach Les Trois Cheminées.

(7) Leave the PR®. Take the road on the left, then continue to a road on the right at Grandes Coupes.

(8) Turn right to reach the Bellecombe Town Hall. Bellecombe reveals itself, peaceful and grandiose, the reward for a well-deserved walk (E).
