Park at the bottom of the village of Lelex where the road becomes one-way (playground).
(S/E) Head south to reach the junction of the wide ski slope and the path supporting theGR®9.
(1) Keep right on the ski slope. After the hairpin bend, join theGR®9.
(2) Turn right onto it, follow a few short hairpin bends to come out near the Refuge du Ratou.
(3) Before reaching the refuge, cut right onto the ski slope and find a trail at a place called La Brillonne d'en bas. Continue south on this trail and you will reach a clearing at the edge of the forest.
(4) Leave the "Crêt de la Neige" direction for a long level crossing on the track that leads to the Brulat d'en Haut chalets (closed until 30 June)
(5) Continue through the forest to easily reach the ridge.
(6) Turn left onto the ridge path, which is theGRP® Grand Tour de la Valserine marked in red and yellow. Reach Crêt de la Neige.
(7) Continue along the ridge to reach the viewpoint below the Grand Crêt.
(8) Here, you can extend your walk to the Grand Crêt
Return to the crossroads and descend. You will reach a crossroads of paths at the edge of the forest.
(9) Leave theGRP® and take a path on the left, passing the ruins of Les Brulats Frésy. Continue along the north-east mountain pasture to return to the GRP®.
(10) Turn left to rejoin the Refuge de la Loge.
(11) Finish the descent via the car track, which is partly shared with theGR®, (or via the ski slopes, cutting across the descent).
Rejoin the GR® at the crossroads.
(2) Turn right until the next junction, then left to rejoin the outward route.
(1) Take the outward route on the right to return to the starting car park (S/E).
