The Carnoux-en-Provence Plateau Circuit

Car park with approx. 8 spaces at 14, Avenue de Suffren 13470, Carnoux-en-Provence,

(S/E) From the car park, look out for the forest gate and the CQ210. Take the latter and go straight on, ignoring all the small paths coming from the right or left until you reach a concrete silo on the right. Continue to the end of the path and enjoy the superb view.

(1) Then take the path marked in yellow on the left. Pass two paths on the left and stay on the main path.

(2) At the end of this path, turn right, following the overhead power lines, and you’ll soon reach a Fork in the road with three paths. Follow the central one, marked in yellow, which doesn’t appear on the map. It’s a lovely little single track, recently laid out, running between two main paths. Stay on the main track of this single track, which ends in tall, well-trodden grass. Pass a path branching off to the left and stay on the main track, which widens again (stay on the path’s continuation and do not change direction).

(3) At the junction, leave the main path and turn right onto a small track still marked in yellow. Follow these yellow markings, which indicate a right turn whilst remaining on the main path.

(4) You’ll come to a stone cistern on the right; continue along the path, veering slightly to the left. You’ll reach a forest gate. At the junction, turn left.

(5) You’ll reach a junction and turn right following the sky-blue markings. You’ll cross several paths but stay on the main path, which is very wide and still marked in sky-blue. The path narrows. Continue straight ahead in the same direction. The path then widens, still marked with sky blue signs. Pass two green containers. You will then cross the path you started on and turn right towards the car park (S/E).
