Park in the recently refurbished car park on the Vieux Chemin de Cassis: eight spaces available, or more if you squeeze in.
(S/E) Go through the forest barrier that leads to the car park and start the hike on a newly renovated DFCI track. Continue to the three-way junction.
(1) Take the wide path that branches off to the right, marker QC210, and continue to the crossroads.
(2) Ignore the track that descends to the right towards La Penne-sur-Huveaune and continue straight ahead to the next junction, which is not clearly marked on the ground.
(3) Continue straight ahead for a few dozen metres: this section will be used in the opposite direction on the way back.
(4) Turn left, following the yellow and red markings of the GRP®2013. Make a hairpin turn and you will come to a crossroads a few dozen metres before La Candolle.
(5) Leave the GRP® markings and take the path on the right that descends with beautiful views of the mountains. Cross a path on the left and continue straight ahead, keeping to the same path that climbs on this section to reach an electricity pylon. Continue straight ahead behind it on a path that descends the mountainside and rejoins the GRP®2013.
(4) Head left until you reach the next fork.
(3) Take a small path on the left, which runs parallel to the DFCI track before rejoining it.
(2) Turn left onto a path, leaving the track that descends (already passed on the way there). You will soon reach a three-way junction. Note the DFCI track from the start a few dozen metres to the right.
(6) Do not be tempted to turn off, but continue straight ahead on a path with a very clear view to reach a future orientation table at the highest point: Le Télégraphe. Continue on the path, which rejoins the Vieux Chemin de Cassis after a downhill section.
(1) Turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
