(S/E) From the car park, continue along the path heading south until you reach the DFCI barrier (on your right, there is a picnic area and water point). Go through the barrier, turn right and pass under the water tank until you reach the first fork.
(1) Continue straight ahead on the path opposite, towards Fenestrelles, which follows the contour line. You will come to a track. Follow it for a few metres to the right, then take the path on the left, which rejoins the track.
(2) Cross over to descend towards the railway line and cross it. Take the underpass and you will come out on Chemin de Carpiagne.
(3) Follow this paved road to the left.
(4) After passing under the railway line, don't miss the path climbing up to the left into a small hollow path.
Leave the valley on the track and follow it to the right for about 300 metres.
(5) Leave it on the left at the mouth of a ravine (before the DFCI barrier marking the boundary of the Carpiagne military site). After 30 m, turn right immediately. Follow the path up the hillside, heading south-west, and after passing under a power line, take a sharp left turn (east). You will reach the Languilard plateau near the ventilation shaft of the Mussuguet railway tunnel.
(6) From the ventilation shaft, stay on the path heading east, which follows the edge of the plateau.
(7) Turn left towards the northeast, continue along the edge of the plateau and arrive at the orientation table.
(8) From the orientation table, the trail begins to descend and, after several switchbacks, rejoins the first fork encountered on the way up.
(1) Turn right and return to the car park via the same route as on the way out (S/E).
