Departure from the War Memorial, Rue de Pérouse, near the Galant crossroads (car park).
(S/E) Head towards the roundabout, turn left onto Route de Fontenelle and continue for about 150 metres.
(1) Turn right into a field on Chemin de la Planchette, then follow the signs leading to the town hall and church in particular; look out for the corresponding signs.
(2) Pass in front of the school, then follow the signs leading to Rue des Jardins d'Honorine. Turn right, then left onto Rue de la Gare. Continue to the fork (cross).
(3) Turn left, note the sign about water in Chèvremont and continue to follow the signs for Rue du Petit Bois. Cross the railway line and you will reach a fork.
(4) Turn right; this path will take you to the Virgin of Chèvremont. At the monument, read the explanation and continue. Return to Rue de la Gare (D25) and follow it to the left for about 200 metres.
(5) Turn right onto Chemin de la Clavière, then turn right onto the strategic path, pass under the railway line and join Rue du Fort.
(6) Then turn left onto the stone path and into the forest, turning right.
(7) Observe the first military batteries, then continue along the path. Turn right and walk about 100 metres out of the forest.
(8) Turn left and see a second series of batteries. Also observe a shelter for the men and its description, retrace your steps and turn left to observe the various elements that make up part of the area of ecological and faunistic interest.
At the small road, cross and turn left to see the unusual orchids. Continue towards the football pitches before going down the steps that will take you to Rue de Pérouse (D28). Follow this street to the right.
(9) Pass the Chèvremont mini-golf course (on your right), created by young people from the village. Continue to the roundabout. Continue straight ahead along Rue de Pérouse to return to the starting point (S/E).
