Park in the car park next to Audembert town hall.
Yellow signs
(S/E) Turn left out of the car park and take the first turning on the left, Rue des Grares. Continue left at the crossroads along the same road. Cross the farm and come to a crossroads in the middle of the fields.
(1) Turn right and follow the track. Go past the first crossroads and climb to the next one.
(2) Continue straight ahead, ignoring a start on the left and joining a small tarmac road at a bend.
(3) Ignore this and immediately take the path on the left and climb towards Mont du Couple.
(4) Once you reach the top of the hill, head left: take a few moments to enjoy the view. Continue along the ridge to the summit.
(5) Enjoy the view and the remains of the German fortifications. On a clear day, you should be able to see England in the distance. Continue along the path as it begins to descend.
(6) Cross back over the small road you came across on the outward journey and take the path opposite to continue downhill.
(7) At the crossroads, turn right to reach the magnificent Herlen estate and hamlet.
(8) Take the track on the left and reach a four-way intersection.
(9) Follow the one on the left towards Audembert. Go straight ahead at the fork.
(10) Bear left to reach the village and then follow the tarmac road to the left to return to the car park (S/E).
