Drive to the junction of the D45E road, which leads to La Bouilladisse, and the D908, which goes to Peynier.
There is a small car park there; park there.
(S/E) The start of the walk is on the other side of the road leading down towards La Bouilladisse, running alongside the D908. The path cuts through the vegetation and quickly widens into a large, almost flat area with a well-trodden track. You’ll reach a crossroads just before an old sheepfold.
(1) Take the path on the right, passing a water tank. Continue straight on until you reach a crossroads at elevation 487.
(2) Take the path on the right to quickly reach another crossroads.
(3) Turn right and reach another crossroads with several tracks, where there is also a water tank.
(4) At this junction of several tracks, take the one that heads diagonally to the left, slightly uphill. Reach the ridge with a superb view of Auriol.
(5) Continue along the ridge heading due east to reach another large crossroads of tracks.
(6) Keep to the left-hand track, following the Vallon du Fer à Cheval at a distance. Cross the Vallon de la Fède to finally reach another water tank.
(7) Turn right onto the tarmac track which climbs steadily towards the final stretch of the Régagnas. Reach the highest point.
Please note: this is normally a restricted area, but access is permitted when the site is not being used for fire watch.
(8) Follow the route you took on the way there and, very soon, take a path branching off to the left.
Caution! This path runs alongside an acrobatic mountain-bike trail for about 800 metres (it’s interesting to imagine or see the jumps mountain-bikers can perform).
There are a few steps and tricky sections where you need to be careful, particularly when there are mountain bikers about. This section can be quite difficult for children or people who have some difficulty walking; in this case, I strongly advise you to use the same return route from Régagnas as the one taken on the way there, which remains accessible to vehicles.
(9) Turn right as you go uphill to quickly reach the large crossroads of tracks you passed on the way there.
(6) Turn left onto the outbound route to reach, via the ridge, the junction at the viewpoint overlooking Auriol.
(5) Turn due north onto the path on the right and follow it straight on until you reach another old sheepfold, La Sérignane.
(10) About thirty metres before reaching the sheepfold, take the path on the left and follow it to the junction with the outward route.
(3) Continue straight on along the outward route to return to the car park (S/E).
