Description of the walk

From the La Cascade camping site.

(S/F) Take the forest track that climbs to the right into the forest.
After 200 m, at the platform, take the track on the left and reach a junction 500 m further on.

(1) Turn right and follow the path up the ridge trail (GR66). Turn left continuing to climb gently.

(2) Pass a path on the left and reach a crossroads. Continue uphill to follow the markings.

(3) Arrive at the foot of the small summit dominated by an antenna, leave the GR and the big track to take the path on your left that takes you to the summit of Puech Pounchut (4) with its beautiful 360° panoramic view.

To return, retrace your steps back via the crossroads (3) as far as the exit of the first forest, then leave the main track and take the path that heads down to the right (2) following the sheep enclosure.
