Bus stop and car park at Soultz Hospital.
(S/E) Walk up Rue de L'Hôpital. Ignore a path on the right and continue through the valley to the west of the Soultz hospital car park. Follow the forest path marked with a Red Rectangle crossed by a White Rectangle to the pass through the vineyards at the edge of the woods.
(1) Turn right for fifty metres at the Ruetschmatt bench junction and join the path leading to the Nez de Soultz (Club Vosgien Soultz shelter: 417 m). Then continue straight on twice to reach the viewpoint.
(2) Follow the Blue Triangle ridge to reach a mysterious heather-covered clearing called Heidenbuckel (471 m).
(3) Continue straight ahead, then twice more straight ahead along a dirt track. Then turn right onto the path leading to Dietrichstein. Rejoin the Blue Triangle trail and follow it to the right to Bildstoeckle: table, benches, playground: 461 m). This is a pass linking the Guebwiller valley and the Rimbach valley. Magnificent 19th-century wayside shrine.
(4) From the pass, head down to the left and then left again towards Jungholtz, taking the Red Rectangle trail marked with white towards the south. Then turn right onto the Yellow Triangle trail. Continue along the descending trail straight ahead to Jungholtz after passing a water reservoir on the left.
(5) After the reservoir, take the path on the left then turn left again to reach the vineyards.
(6) Turn left and head back into the forest for a few minutes, following the blue circle markings. Keep left then right, make a circular loop to the right and keep left at the next junction. Return to the crossroads of the path leading to Nez de Soultz and follow the Red Rectangle with a white cross to the right towards Soultz.
(1) Head back down to the left to reach the hospital car park (S/E).
