From Jaujac, head towards Pont-de-Labeaume (D5) for 3.2 km, just after the campsite (on your right). Park on the left at the viewpoint.
(S/E) The hike starts below the viewpoint; go down the stairs to the Echelette bridge over the Lignon river.
On your left, you will see the basalt flows of the Jaujac Volcano. After the bridge, turn left and pass the house on your left.
(1) Take the path on the right that winds upwards under the oak trees and go through the first gate.
(2) Join the road before the hamlet of La Brousse. Follow it to the left for 50 metres, then take the path that climbs to the right. Go through a second gate, climb for 10 metres, cross the road and take the path that climbs to rejoin the road.
(3) Cut across the bends by taking the path that climbs to the right.
(4) Cross the road again and continue straight ahead on the path. Reach the ridge at an elevation of 823 metres.
(5) Take the path on the left after the gate and follow it to the summit. Climb the rocks to reach the summit of Pic de Ladenne.
(6) To return, take exactly the same route in the opposite direction to get back to the car park (S/E).
