Park in the village square.
(DA) Head south-east from the square towards the road signs and take the Montferou path, a wide grassy path that climbs between two walls and joins the D223.
(1) Follow the D 223 to the right. At the first crossroads on the right, climb up to the hamlet of Les Fiagoux. In the hamlet, turn left to briefly return to the D223 until the next crossroads.
(2) Turn right onto Impasse de Peyreplane, which continues along a beautiful path under chestnut trees. About a hundred metres after the last house, do not take the big climb on the left. After about the same distance again, the path crosses a small valley and changes direction from south-south-east to west-north-west. Continue for another 50 metres or so, then take the path on the left.
(3) Take this path uphill and continue climbing via a series of hairpin bends more or less along the ridge. You will encounter a few pine trees, more chestnut trees, large marks indicating hunting posts 2, 3, 4 on the trees, and one or two old yellow and white markers. A wall borders the path on the left before you reach the pass (clearer view to the north-west). You will arrive at the Montferou hiking sign (directions to Mercuer, Ailhon, Lentillères).
(4) Follow the signs for Lentillères on the right (yellow and white markings). The path is on the ridge, with cedars on the right at the start and a wide view to the south. Continue along this wide path, passing a beautiful wall on the left and more conifers on the right, then enter a conifer forest, following recent yellow and white markings. You will reach a road with a view of Lentillères on your left. Descend to the Le Village hiking sign (directions for Lentillères, Mercuer, Chazeaux, Prades).
(5) Go up to the right towards Prades, and you will find the wide access track to the water reserve. At the pass where there is a new sign for Les Perringues (directions for Prades, Saint Cirgues de Prades), do not take the road to Saint-Cirgues-de-Prades, but continue straight ahead on a narrower grassy path. Wide view to the north and the Salindre valley. Take the narrower downhill path, which is paved slanting street at the beginning but becomes more uneven further down. The path becomes wider but steep and stony before crossing the Crampes stream.
(6) It becomes easier going and joins the tarmac road (Chemin de Bourienne).
(7) Take the first path on the left, which is wide and grassy, then the street on the right, cross the D 323, continue straight ahead and then take the first street on the right (Chemin de Chassargues). Continue straight ahead at the crossroads, then turn left after the bridge over the Crampes stream.
(8) At the bottom of the descent, about 50 metres after the access to the lodges on the right, take the path on the right which almost turns back and passes under the lodges (yellow and white markings on the ground, which continue further on) and joins a road.
(9) Take the road on the left, passing in front of the cattle farm. After the bridge, take the path on the right (markings). Reach the hunters' hut (on the left of the path), continue straight ahead and descend to the valley, which you will follow on your left towards the north, with the village in view.
(10) At the crossroads, turn sharply right, cross another bridge, then climb up to the left towards the school and the village square (S/E).
