Park in the La Poste car park along the Véore.
(S/E) Opposite the post office, take the footbridge on the right that crosses the Véore. Cross the Quai de la République and follow the pavement on the right towards the Town Hall.
Walk a few steps and turn left through the fortified gate. Follow Rue Gustave André, pass Rue Vergier d'Orcival on your right and continue to the junction with Rue Correcterie.
(1) Continue straight ahead, ignoring Rue de la Pérollerie on your left, until you reach a small square (car park).
Turn left onto Rue de la Bruyère and continue to No. 9, the site of the former hospital.
Retrace your steps to the car park and first turn right then left to enter Rue de l'Église. After No. 3, turn left onto the Montée du Barda steps.
When you reach an esplanade, turn left and climb a few steps to reach a viewpoint overlooking the village (orientation table) at the foot of the bell tower of Saint-Andéol Church. Go back down the stairs and return to the esplanade, then turn left to quickly reach the steps of Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church
(2). Turn left after the church and climb the stairs, then follow Chemin du Cimetière, which climbs to the left. You will soon reach Neyrieu Castle and the underground passages.
Go past the building and look for a stone bench on the left. Turn left after the bench and climb up into the woods to a small plateau. Turn right onto one of the tracks (they all lead to the same place) to reach a playground and sports equipment area near a ruined tower.
Pass to the left of the tower to reach a viewpoint (Vierge). Continue along the path to reach the cemetery. Follow it to the end, leave the path on the left and descend opposite into the hollow of a small valley.
Continue to the right and follow the Montée des Garennes. At the water tower, the path becomes stony and offers beautiful views of the Vercors. Continue until you reach a tarmac road (Chemin de Montmartel).
(3) Turn right and descend until you reach the Route de Barcelonne (D188). Turn right towards the town centre. At the next crossroads (give way), turn left towards the town centre. On your left is the Place du Chaffal. Continue to the next crossroads to see the Temple opposite.
(4) Turn right onto Rue du Chaffal and continue to the end to find the Old College. Walk back down to the temple.
(4) Turn right onto Rue des Remparts. After No. 33, turn right into the alleyway until you reach Rue de Villeneuve. Turn left until you reach No. 13 and turn right into another alleyway which leads to a covered passageway and ends at Rue du Mazet.
Turn left and you will find the Ursuline Convent at No. 3. Continue straight ahead and just before the passage under three arches, look for the Canal des Moulins on your left.
Turn right onto Rue Correcterie and shortly afterwards, at No. 5, you will find the Hôtel des Princes de Monaco. Continue to the end of the street.
(1) Turn left onto Rue Gustave André and continue to the fortified gate. Return to the car park via the same route (S/E).
