Access to Col des Banquettes on the D222 is relatively easy by car and parking is available at the pass.
(S/E) From the car park at Col des Banquettes, with your back to the road, take the path furthest to the left towards the north-west. Once you can see the bend in the road leading up to Lujerneta, turn right towards the south-east to reach, in a straight line, the fortifications overlooking Col des Banquettes and Ravin du Borrigo.
(1) After enjoying the view and the fortifications, retrace your steps for a few dozen metres and take a path on the right towards the north-east to join the Col de Verroux track at marker 472.
(2) Follow the track to the right, first towards the north-east and then towards the east. Reach marker 469 and continue straight on to the Col de Verroux.
(3) It is quick and easy to climb up to Pointe Siricocca to see its fortifications and admire the view of Menton, the Mediterranean and the village of Sainte-Agnès. You can buy immortelle floral water at the farm on the pass.
(4) From Pointe Siricocca, descend via the same route you took to climb up to Col de Verroux.
(3) Turn right at marker 446, heading east. The path joins the Ravin de Merthéa and a crossroads at marker 447.
(5) With the Sainte-Agnès-Col de Castillon connecting trail in sight, take a sharp right onto a path heading west to join this same trail a little further on.
(6) Follow the track opposite towards the south-west, then west, going around Pointe Siricocca, and reach marker 494.
(7) Continue northwest to marker 449 at a hairpin bend.
(8) Leave the Peyrre Grosse trail and follow the trail opposite, which descends gently north-west towards the Borrigo stream. Cross it and climb up the right bank. After a hairpin bend to the right, then another to the left, continue towards the Col des Banquettes car park (S/E).
